Enhanced Cleaning Protocols

We will do everything we can to ensure the studio is clean.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Here is what we need from you as our students.

COVID STUDIO POLICIES

New policies are in effect for our in-studio classes.

CLEANING PROTOCOLS:

PROTOCOLS IN PLACE FOR OUR IN-STUDIO CLASSES

We have always been on top of the cleaning game- wet mopping between classes, using hospital grade cleaners (Citrus II Germicidal Cleanser-CDC approved), wiping down surfaces, lots of hand sanitizer around the studio. We have always been a hands-off, no physical adjustments studio (except when hugs are requested); and we have always encouraged students to do things that help them feel safe and comfortable.

ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS:

o Doors will be propped open as much as possible and weather permitting in order to decrease touch and increase air flow

o   Floors in studio, lobby and bathrooms will be mopped after every class.

o   If we use pens they will be cleaned between each use.  We are working toward 100% paperless.

o   Blocks and straps are available for use, but we encourage you to get your own props.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS:

HERE’S WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU AS OUR STUDENTS

o DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO IF YOU ARE SICK.  It does not matter what you think you have or do not have.  If you are sick in any way- your body needs to rest.  So stay home, take care of yourself and protect others.

o   Please strive to leave extraneous items at home.

o   Do not wear your shoes on the studio floors- leave shoes outside in cubbies.

o   Place valuables on shelves/hooks inside the practice space.  You are responsible for all of your own items.

o   Bring your own water bottle. We have water coolers for you to refill.

o   Give people some personal space in the lobby and hall.  Practice compassion and kindness!

Studio Policies:

AS OF AUG 2022

*We are running air purification systems in our lobby & our studio spaces at all times.

▶︎  The class schedule, including who is teaching the class, is subject to change without notice. We will try to give as much notice as possible but we cannot guarantee that.

▶︎  Maximum class sizes are currently 28 in the sun room and 22 in the moon room.  We may decrease the class sizes if new guidance or changes in the situation calls for it, and this may change suddenly, without notice.  All mat spaces are marked off and students should place their mat in a marked space only.

▶︎ We now have a variety of class lengths.  Some classes are at 60 minutes, some are at 75 and some are at 90.  You can check the length of the class on the Mindbody APP or viewing Mindbody through your browser.

▶︎ Virtual classes via Zoom will continue and several classes per week will be live streamed during in-studio class.  The spots closest to the teacher may be visible on the Zoom camera but you are not being recorded, we know everyone who is zoomed in and it is no different than the person practicing in front of, beside or behind you.

▶︎  Since we are maintaining specific class sizes, pre-registration through Mindbody online is required for all in-studio classes.  We will try to accommodate walk ins if there is space but there is no guaranteed space for walk ins.

▶︎ If you are unable to attend your in-person class you must cancel 2 hours prior via Mindbody (it is simple in the APP-  the unbook button! A little harder to find on the browser- under “my schedule”) so that someone else can take your place.  If you fail to do this you will be charged.

▶︎ Mindbody has a waiting list function.  If you add your name to the waiting list, the system will add you to the class automatically in the order that you were added to the waitlist, as people drop out of the class.  You will get an email and or a text depending on what you signed up for (make sure you are opted in) telling you that you were added and you can confirm that you want to attend.  If you do not want to attend after you have been added you can unbook yourself (see bullet above).  You can be added to the class from the waitlist up to two hours before the class start time.  If you do not wish to keep you name on the waiting list, remove your name.  If a spot opens and you are automatically added to the class and fail to show you will be charged for the class.

▶︎ Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class to ensure you have time to get settled.

▶︎  Virtual classes require online booking in order to get the invite.  While we have Zoom space for 100 per class- we appreciate booking cancellations for Virtual classes.  Some people have been donating classes to us and we do not know if you are donating or just did not make it so please cancel your class if you are not going to be there.

▶︎ All purchases for classes should be made online via Mindbody prior to coming to the studio to increase touchless participation while at the studio.

▶︎ Starting on Sept 1, 2020, class prices increased as follows:  first time $5, one class $12, 5 classes for $50, 10 classes for $80 and 20 classes for $140.

▶︎ All passes will expire 6 months after purchase.

▶︎ We will continue to be hands off and teachers will limit moving around the room.

▶︎ Teachers will not come to work if they are feeling ill in any way.

▶︎ For Hot classes- we are running forced air heat with doors closed for the in-person classes.  Several of our hot classes are 60 minutes long – one set of every pose- in order to decrease time spent together.  We also have two 90-minute hot classes.  There will be NO traditional open mouthed breathing exercises in these classes at this time.
